This summer in North Platte, Cameron Kolling is researching cover crop interseeding practices. He is testing two different treatments in corn and comparing them to a plot without any cover crop treatments.
One plot is interseeded with a cover crop mixture treatment made up of Italian Ryegrass, Purple Top Turnips, Tillage Radish, Red Clover, Buckwheat and Rape. The other plot is interseeded with Bearcat Medium Red Clover. By researching different cover crop interseeding treatments, our farmers are able to find the best practices to improve soil health on their operations.
