In Richardson County, farmers are interested in determining the benefit of nitrogen-fixing biological products to meet the nitrogen requirements of their corn crop. So, we are evaluating PivotBio PROVEN40 OS across a wide range of nitrogen fertilizer rates and comparing it to the same rates without the PivotBio product.
The soil type in this field has a gradient ranging from silty to more sandy, so we are learning about the potential benefits of using PivotBio in different soil environments. The data from this study will be used to determine what the economically optimum nitrogen rate is for different fields and how that rate varies within different soil textures!
